Job Title: People Operations Specialist

Position Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented, people-focused HR Operations Specialist to support the full spectrum of HR operations. This role will manage employee lifecycle processes, maintain accurate HR records, oversee payroll and benefits administration, and occasionally support recruiting efforts. Acting as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, this position ensures smooth HR operations and an exceptional employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Data & Records Management
Maintain and update employee records in HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with privacy and labor laws.
Prepare employment documents such as contracts, amendments, and onboarding forms.
Manage personnel files and ensure record retention policies are followed.
Payroll Administration
Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time.
Coordinate with finance and external payroll providers to ensure correct tax filings and deductions.
Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Benefits Administration
Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and annual open enrollment processes.
Liaise with benefits providers to resolve employee issues and ensure smooth delivery of benefits programs.
Support employees in understanding their benefits options and eligibility.
Recruitment & Onboarding
Support full-cycle recruiting when needed: posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and preparing offer letters.
Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
Maintain relationships with hiring managers to understand workforce needs.
Performance Management & Development
Coordinate the performance review process, ensuring timely completion and meaningful feedback across all levels.
Partner with managers to support goal setting, development planning, and performance improvement initiatives.
Track performance trends and provide insights to leadership to inform people strategies and succession planning.
Employee Relations & Support
Serve as a primary contact for HR-related questions, providing timely, professional responses to employee inquiries.
Promote positive employee relations and uphold company culture and policies.
Support employee engagement initiatives and HR communications.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in HR operations, payroll, or generalist roles.
Strong knowledge of HRIS systems, payroll processing, and benefits administration.
Familiarity with employment laws and HR compliance best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Deel HR
HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, scaling organization.
