Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a Full-Time Community-Based Therapist who's passionate about helping others and providing exceptional mental health care. In this role, you'll deliver clinical assessments, crisis intervention, and treatment services to our outpatient clients - empowering individuals and families to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

 

$3,000 sign-on bonus

($1,500 upon 90 days of employment / $1,500 upon 180 days of employment)

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Conduct assessment and treatment services according to Southwestern policies.
  • Perform diagnostic assessment evaluations and emergency/crisis intervention for adult populations. 
  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy to adults who have a severe and persistent mental illness or are dually diagnosed.
  • Maintain appropriate records of services to reflect progress and document treatment plans and goals.
  • Maintain documentation and submit reports according to established time frames.
  • Communicate professionally, make referrals and coordinate services with community agencies.
  • Meet efficiency standards which include chart management and client contact standards.
  • Possess the ability to engage individuals who are in the early stages of their recovery.
  • Demonstrate the ability to engage with individuals involved in the legal system by participating in assessments at the Vanderburgh County Corrections Facility.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • Conduct consultation and education activities to community and professional groups as needed.
  • Maintain contact with other service providers, community agencies, schools, and civic organizations to enhance community awareness and public relations.

Job Qualifications


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Applicants must have a Master's degree in Social Work, LSW, or LCSW. Candidates must pass the LSW exam within 3 months of hire and the LCSW within six months of eligibility.
  2. Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, fingerprinting, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen

 

WORKING ENVRONMENT:

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Working conditions may include exposure to adverse weather conditions and unfavorable health and safety conditions such as pets, rodents, insects, unclean environments, foul smells, animal waste, drug paraphernalia, and hostile and/or threatening individuals.
