Atlantis, Florida 33462We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Medical Scribe to join our team. This role is critical in supporting our clinical staff by documenting accurate and comprehensive patient information in real time. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional professionalism, thrive in a fast-paced medical environment, and be committed to delivering outstanding patient service without compromising documentation accuracy.Key Responsibilities
Transcribe and document patient encounters in real-time alongside physicians
Efficiently manage an average of two patient charts per hour, and up to four during high-volume periods
Sort and manage medical documents within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Assist with electronic prescribing and ensure prescription data accuracy
Draft referral letters and facilitate communications with other providers as needed
Support patient intake processes and contribute to a positive care experience
Coordinate diagnostic tests and specialist referrals in collaboration with clinical staff
Assist physicians with basic, non-invasive patient care procedures
Maintain a clean, professional, and organized working environment
Participate in training and mentorship of newly hired Medical Scribes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field preferred
Completion of a Medical Assistant training program considered an asset
Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation practices
Strong computer literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience with EHR systems; Athena experience is a strong plus
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and under pressure
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
