Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred

Demonstrate an ability to lead and direct staff in warehouse environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work effectively across internal and customer groups

Strong problem-solving skills and inherent decision-making ability

Proficient in computer applications

Ability to plan, organize, and schedule work projects

Demonstrates initiative, detail oriented, and self-starter

Project management skills and ability to organize work in an efficient manner

Ability to work well under stress and time pressures

Physically fit to perform job requirements including repetitive lifting of boxes weighing up to 50lbs

 

Primary Purpose:

 

Be the lead in maintaining the Asset Warehouse inventory, Asset Management databases, and supervise warehouse associates. Receive and process all technology in the warehouse and coordinate distribution of technology assets to appropriate schools or facilities. Properly dispose of technology assets in accordance with District processes. Manage and coordinate with other departments on special projects as they relate to the Asset Warehouse.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure all assets are appropriately accounted for in the capital and trackable asset systems (KAMS) as well as recording additions, improvements, adjustments, transfers, and retirements of assets.
  2. Ensure all inventory is maintained in the asset warehouse inventory system (ERP).
  3. Coordinate and process warehouse receiving/deliveries, address storage issues, communicate with vendors, and track deliveries.
  4. Coordinate with various District departments/campuses to ensure timely processing and delivery of new
  5. Create and implement schedules and weekly expectations for Asset Warehouse staff.
  6. Coordinate with leadership to ensure successful management of special projects concerning the Asset Warehouse.
  7. Coordinate with IT and Project Coordinators to ensure the successful management of retrofits, growth installations, and other IT projects.
  8. Proactively communicate warehouse status, issues, and risks to management.
  9. Oversee the work performed by Warehouse Associates and provide feedback regarding their job performance.
  10. Oversee organization and maintain technology and peripheral parts inventory.
  11. Obtain and maintain forklift operator certificate.
  12. Report accidents and refer potential safety hazards to supervisor.
  13. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, pallet area, workstations, and other designated areas.
  14. Relate to and communicate positively with other district employees.
  15. Must be proficient in verbal and written communications.
  16. Other duties as assigned.

Equipment Used:

 

Forklifts, pallet jacks, light truck and van, box cutters, dollies, personal computer, printer, copier, and scanner.

 

 Working Conditions:

 

Climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting of heavy equipment (50 lbs). Frequent district wide travel.  Work around machinery and vehicles with moving parts (dock ramps, tailgates, forklifts, and pallet jacks).
