💡Your Impact

As our Senior Accountant, you’ll be the strategic steward of Ashley’s financial health — ensuring that every dollar supports our mission of recovery, renewal, and hope. You’ll:


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Ensures integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering transactions.
  • Schedules, manages and prepares all documents/schedules for Capital committee involving key Executive leaders from different departments.
  • Responsible for all Fixed Asset accounting including determining new asset cost and useful lives, tracking existing Fixed Assets, recording depreciation.  
  • Leads annual inventory and determines which assets are to be disposed and makes appropriate journal entries including calculating gain/loss.
  • Prepares all monthly revenue analyses including making complex calculations for contractual allowances adjustments and allowances for doubtful accounts.  
  • Prepares and analyzes monthly Corporate Income Statement, monthly department reports, budgets and quarterly forecasts which include monitoring daily performances, analyzing and interpreting operating data and making recommendations to optimize profitability.        
  • Creates monthly Board of Director financial packet including Statements of Cash Flow, Census Reports and high-level performance summaries.  
  • Ensures all balance sheet accounts are reconciled according to the corporate policy.
  • Prepares annual departmental budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data and making recommendations to maximize profit.
  • On a monthly basis, maintains financials results by coaching, instructing and guiding department supervisors. Will provide ongoing training to department supervisors regarding analyzing financial results and data.
  • On a monthly basis, reconciles approximately 50 corporate credit card accounts, monitors expenses, researches discrepancies, creates and uploads journal entries.  Ensures that corporate policies are being followed and appropriate documentation is present.
  • Prepares Daily Cash report and Daily Cash Forecasting Report for Executive Team.
  • Completes external audit requests by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and provides support for external audit requests.
  • Supports the implementation of new accounting standards, including revenue recognition (ASC 606) and leases (ASC 842).


 

💼 What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA Required).
  • 5+ years of experience in financial operations, accounting, and reporting; 
  • Expertise in healthcare or non-profit finance strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle, reimbursement, and compliance.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills — able to make complex financials clear and actionable.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and strong analytical mindset.
  • Experience with grant management and fund accounting is a plus.
