We are seeking a global minded Employee Experience Director to elevate our internal brand, engage our people, and amplify our external presence. This is your chance to lead world-class employee communications, shape company-wide initiatives, and be a strategic partner to our executives—all while making a measurable impact on our culture and organisation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Storytelling & Brand Experience: Craft compelling narratives for Coherent’s Annual Report, ESG Report, social campaigns, Glassdoor, and other internal/external communications.
  • Drive Employee Experience Initiatives: Develop and execute programs that increase clarity, connection, purpose, and engagement across the organization.
  • Campaign Management & Analytics: Oversee social campaigns across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and more), measure results, and optimise strategies for maximum impact.
  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with executives and cross-functional teams to lead change, build scalable systems, and influence organisational culture.
  • Enhance Engagement Programs: Innovate onboarding, development, talent retention, and performance initiatives to strengthen team effectiveness and cultural cohesion.
  • Change Agent: Lead large-scale transformation projects with measurable outcomes, building acceptance strategies and sustainability plans.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field; MBA required. 10+ years in communications/employee experience leadership.
  • Proven track record in building brands, managing campaigns, and delivering high-impact communications globally.
  • Deep understanding of social media strategy, digital marketing, website design, and emerging channels.
  • Extensive experience shaping narratives for senior leadership and delivering high-stakes communications.
  • Demonstrated success scaling programs, leading organisational change, and enhancing employee engagement.

Please note, this role is based 3 days a week onsite in Glasgow. Applications close COB Friday, 19th December. 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions typical of a climate controlled and professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Scotland EHS standards.

QUALITY & ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
