General Responsibilities/Job Summary
As a Warehouse team member at Culver Duck Farms, Inc., you will play a vital role in the packing, and distribution of our products. This position involves various tasks related to the handling, storage, and shipping of goods, ensuring that all operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.
Requirements
Essential Functions/Duties
Key Responsibilities:
o Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport products safely within the warehouse.
o Load and unload trucks, ensuring that items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
o Organize and rearrange the inventory as necessary to keep the warehouse orderly and efficient.
o Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs or safety issues immediately.
o Verify the quantity and description of items received or shipped against packing lists, purchase orders, or transfer orders.
o Maintain accurate records of inventory and perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
o Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
o Assist in training new employees in forklift operations and warehouse procedures.
o Follow all biosecurity and Animal Welfare Policies
o Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations.
o Report any animal welfare related issues to management immediately.
o Report any potential Food Safety issues to management immediately.
o Report any damages to company vehicles, equipment, and buildings via maintenance work order software program.
o Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
o High school diploma or equivalent preferred. –
o Previous experience in a warehouse or food processing environment is a plus.
o Ability to lift heavy boxes and stand for long periods. –
o Basic math skills for inventory counting and package labeling. –
o Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
o Outstanding communication skills
o Ability to independently make decisions with minimum supervision
o Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workload
o Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others
o Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures

o Ability to work in a shipping/warehouse/freezer environment.
o Must not lift, push, or pull objects exceeding 20 pounds.
o Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during the shift.
o The role is primarily based in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures, particularly in freezer areas.
Schedule
o Monday to Friday – 10-hour shift
o Night shift- some weekends and late evenings may be required
