Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking an imaginative and engaging 6th Grade Science Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year! Our ideal candidates will create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and promote scientific thinking. This educator will help students explore key concepts in physical, life, and earth sciences while building their skills in inquiry, problem-solving, and collaboration. The qualified candidate should hold or be eligible for a valid Missouri Certificate for grades 6-8.

• Plan and deliver standards-based instruction for middle school science courses.
• Design inquiry-based lessons and labs that promote exploration, experimentation, and analysis.
• Use data and formative assessment to guide instruction and measure student learning.
• Integrate technology and real-world applications to enhance scientific understanding.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom and laboratory environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and cross-curricular connections.
• Communicate regularly with families and guardians about student progress and classroom activities.

• Salary schedule placement acknowledging highest level of education and ALL years of previous teaching experience as allowed by the salary schedule
