This position is responsible to achieve the revenue and profit objectives as agreed upon and defined in the annual budget and within the strategic framework of the HSPS Division of Alimak Group. Achieving the desired market position in the NAM Region and ensuring customer satisfaction at manageable costs. This position is located in the US.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective strategic business plans, with a clear vision for the sales, service, operations and logistics processes in the short, medium, and long term.
- Responsible for improving processes in the areas of revenue, costs and people to enable achievement.
- Provide effective leadership and direction to Tractel US and the locations under the NAM Region to ensure that objectives and results are achieved.
- Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders in the market.
- Lead and motivate the management team to achieve strategic objectives and short-term successes.
- Take responsibility for fostering optimal collaboration among management team members, ensuring a balance between business results, market position, customer relationships, and shareholders.
- Operate in accordance with ISO company-specific guidelines.
- Attain the appropriate level of expertise, professionalism, and motivation within the Region.
- Provide transparent and efficient periodic reports (financial, operational reports, forecasts, etc.).
- Accountable for contract establishment, all contracts written within company guidelines or escalated for approval, outlining risks and mitigation strategies.
- Responsible for updating Product Management and Division Operations on changing trends and requirements in the marketplace to ensure new product design is at forefront of the industry.
- Support and guide the local Sales team when and where required and applicable to Distributors in that region with a view to securing orders/revenue and maintaining good governance.
- Compliant with Group policies, Values, systems and procedures.
- Act with the delegated authority levels and follow the Alimak Group procedures
- Effectively support Corporate and Division functions: Management, Finance & Administration, HR, IT, Tax& Legal, Technology (R&D) and specifically Marketing in the product pipeline development and potential M&A according to the Division strategy long term.
Sales Strategy
- Lead and implement through direct reports the sales strategy of the division ensuring this is in line with Division Strategy and Overall Group strategy
- Sales strategy and guidelines should include rules for quantifying customers to ensure the most profitable customers are given the most attention
- Implement GROWTH plans product, parts and services and digitalization with responsible territories
Group Sales and Business Development
- Accountable for the Distributor Account Management especially in relation to governance and adherence to Group Policy
- Ensure all new business complies with Division sales strategies and margins
- Accountable for revenue delivery for the full product range
- Responsible for Account Management of existing customer base ensuring repeat business and ongoing service sales
- Responsible for GROWTH through acquisition of NEW customers and Development of markets through identified product and services solutions
- Accountable for keeping close relationships with the marketplace in terms of key accounts, business situation and competitor’s activities
- Responsible for creation of supporting initiatives in the areas of revenue, costs and people to enable achievement
Operations
- Accountable for Sales Operations planning for factory orders to ensure products are ordered to meet market demand and business plan
- Maintain and improve process efficiency for quality and environmental standards adherence
- Responsible for ensuring sales company policies and procedures are audited and fulfilled and the appropriate governance is in place to meet compliance
- Responsible for updating Product Management and Division Operations on changing trends and requirements in the marketplace to ensure new product design is at forefront of the industry
- Responsible for delivering customer feedback to factory for continuous improvement discussions via Net Loyalty Score surveys
Safety, Environment, People Management & Other
- Establish safety and environmental plans associated with production facility to meet Group goals of compliance and strategy
- Sustainability as a cornerstone of all R&D projects looking to reduce the impact on the environment when establishing new products
- Lead a sales organization across several countries and markets
- Lead by example representing the Alimak Values
- Implement and continue the Performance Conversation as a way of life within his/her scope of organization
- Participate as a positive and active team player with peers, direct and indirect reports
- Responsible for self-development and continuing personal development
- Lead the Divisional Sales and Operations team when and where required and applicable to Distributors in that region with a view to securing orders and maintaining good governance
- Accountable for the coordination of the Division Distributors through Sales Companies and Sales Resources to ensure group policies are met
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or sales & marketing preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience required, leadership experience in a commercial organization preferred
- Evidence of sales track record in an engineering product line
- Demonstrable consultative sales experience
- Experience in selling customized capital goods
- Experience with international organization, multiple regions and multiple product lines
- Experience selling in a safety and quality culture
- Experienced in operating at management level within a medium-sized global organization
- Experience of contract negotiation, risk identification, risk mitigation and risk management
Skills, Knowledge & Personal Attributes
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Financial literacy, capable of understanding interaction of financial decisions, Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet items, ROCE, WCR and DOCF.

- Leadership skills with ability to influence and inspire both technical and non-technical stakeholders- solution providing in a business development manner

Physical Requirements
