Our Team is based out of our Decatur, Arkansas manufacturing facility where we are committed to nutritional innovation, product quality, and safety. To ensure our product quality, we control the manufacturing process in Decatur, from consistent quality checks on all raw materials coming into the plant, to the shipment of our finished product to customers. What You�ll Accomplish

The Inventory Control Coordinator helps safeguard Wellness Pet Company�s raw material inventory assets by reducing the risk of shortages to our customers and financial misstatement on our Balance Sheet.

  • Maintain accurate raw material and packaging inventory levels to ensure production schedules are fully supported with zero downtime due to stock shortages.
  • Perform electronic and physical cycle counts across all raw material and packaging locations, investigating and resolving count variances to maintain high inventory-accuracy performance.
  • Assist in researching packing cycle count issues/PLTWIP/PLTIN and other discrepancies.
  • Participate in the physical inventory program performed at least once annually.
  • Ensure timely and accurate issuance of materials to shop orders in accordance with ignition usage.
  • Close and audit packaging and processing shop orders, ensuring accuracy of material consumption, scrap reporting, and yield.
  • Resolve shop order issues, including costing discrepancies.
  • Issue and reverse materials on shop orders as required.
  • Verify accuracy of transitional locations in IFS (i.e.: Lab Hold, PLTWIP, PLTIN, and trailer locations)
  • Audit and monitor scrap reporting for accuracy.
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory levels and shop order reporting for month-end close.
  • Receive raw material in IFS and audit all plant raw material receipts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with training on inventory, scrap, and shop order processes
  • Effectively navigate and utilize company systems (i.e.: IFS and ignition)
  • This is not an exhaustive list of all job duties/responsibilities. Additional duties will be assigned

This position is ideally suited for an individual who has strong organizational skills, excellent verbal & written communication skills and accountability for results.

In addition, for this specific role, we need someone with:

  • High school diploma/ GED required
  • One year inventory control experience preferred
  • One year of experience in shipping/receiving in a plant setting preferred
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel capabilities, including data analysis, pivot tables, and complex formulas
  • Comfortable working at heights
