AAG Defence Services is a MAA Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) based in RAF Brize Norton, UK. We work in partnership with Airbus Aerospace & Defence to supply dedicated MRO services, including heavy and line maintenance, to the Royal Air Force’s fleet of A400M Atlas aircraft. Our committed and flexible team of over 100 engineers and management are based at RAF Brize Norton in a dedicated 24,000m², three-bay facility designed to optimise the maintenance of the aircraft. AAG Defence Services is a subsidiary company of Atlantic Aviation Group.
Job Purpose
Key responsibilities
- Become an expert in AMOS job card creation, workflows, and template management.
- Interpret customer & OEM technical documentation and accurately transfer the information onto AMOS job cards.
- Create, update, and maintain job card templates to the latest revisions in line with agreed standards.
- Ensure MAA RA Part 145 compliance across planning and job cards creation.
- Continuously review and improve the quality and consistency of job cards.
- Participate in the development and amendments of internal procedures and work instructions, as required.
- Identify and record CDCCL, AD, CPCP, NDT, component changes, duplicate inspections, and critical tasks.
- Evaluate RAF OMP revisions to define required access, work scope highlights, component change special / NDT tasks, and maintenance data.
- Collaborate with the Quality Department for job card requirements and support with the issuance for specific customer job card certification.
- Support Production Planning Engineers with work pack creation and process improvements.
- Provide on-the-job training of job card standards to others as required.
- Ability to work well in a team, applying current knowledge and ongoing learning to drive and promote continuous improvement.
- Build positive, collaborative relationships with internal and external teams to support service provider partnerships, ensuring open communication and cooperation with all stakeholders.
- Ensure efficient work, effective communication, and continuous improvement by applying best practices and innovative solutions tailored to the project’s needs.
- Ensure compliance with technical and general company procedures.
- Support internal and external quality audits, addressing issues and providing solutions as needed.
- Carry out any additional tasks related to Production Planning and job card processes as assigned by the Engineering Planning Manager.
- Understand individual operational safety and security responsibilities including:
- Be aware of personal health and safety and the health and safety of others at work. Including Management responsibilities as required by H&S Manual.
- Be aware of aviation safety responsibilities with regards to the AAGDS Safety Policy. Including Management responsibilities as required by the Safety Management Manual
- Be aware of aviation security responsibilities with regards to the AAGDS Security Policy.
- University Degree / Diploma or relevant experience in a related field.
- Must have served a recognised technical apprenticeship or training.
- Experience of writing or transcribing documents or work instructions would be an advantage.
- Customer-focused with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
- Experience with MS Office Applications, particularly Excel.
- AMOS key user level.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet tight schedules.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- An energetic, proactive attitude, with excellent organisation skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines, targets, and high work standards.
- Good awareness of Aviation safety.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Aircraft maintenance experience in a Part 145 environment.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a technical department providing technical support.
- Experience of using and interpreting maintenance data.
- Knowledge of aircraft legislation and MAA regulations.
- Knowledge of technical documentation and drawings
