Summary 
The ideal candidate will assist the Restaurant Manager with the management of, room service, amenities and Spa Cafe to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality and service to maximize profits through outstanding customer service. 

Essential Functions 
Job duties include, although are not limited to: 
Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel and discipline room service, amenities and spa cafe staff for the efficient operation of the outlets. 
Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, such as house count and menu changes. 
Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments. 
Maximize room service, amenities and Spa Cafe department profitability; implement effective controls of food, beverage, and labor costs and monitor the breakfast, room service and barista budget to ensure efficient operations, including achieving budgeted revenue and labor expenses. 
Ensure par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, ordering, receiving and stock. 
Evaluate cost effectiveness of all aspects of operations. 
Develop and implement cost savings and profit enhancement measures. 
Utilize computer to accurately charge customers, create forecast and revenue reports and write correspondence. Input and retrieve data and change computer procedures using complex series of keypunches to program the system. Visually monitor and take corrective action to ensure food quality and service standards are met. 
Provide guidance for improvement and implement necessary adjustments for consistency. 
Regularly review and evaluate the degree of customer satisfaction of room service, amenities and Spa Cafe ; recommend new marketing and/or operational policies and procedures when necessary to keep up with demand and market changes; investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints. 
Interact positively with customers. 
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all The Boca Raton Hotels policies and procedures that relate to room service, amenities and Spa Cafe as well as all local, state and federal laws and regulations; responsible for ensuring cleanliness and proper sanitation of all work and service areas. 
Participate in the development, implementation and marketing of new and creative menus; promote the cross-selling of other hotel outlets and The Boca Raton hotels. 
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the company. 
Attend mandatory meetings including divisional meetings, department meetings, staff meetings, etc. 
This position may participate in the hotel's manager on duty program, which may require occasional weekend stayovers and full responsibility for the hotel. Utilize traditional software programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and/or Outlook Express. 
Properly execute end of day revenue closeouts including all reports. 
Requisition supplies to have an adequate supply on hand for the following shifts. 
Participate in inventory procedures. Open and close shifts in accordance with instructions. 
Handle associate relations on each shift worked, finding solutions for call offs, tardiness and last-minute daily problems. 
Ensure all employees are following the correct break procedure. 
Communication through daily logbook. 
In emergencies, perform in the capacity of any position supervised. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required

External Relationships 
Has regular contact with guests and members 

Qualifications and Education/Experience Requirements 
Thorough knowledge of room service operations including foods, beverage, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction. 
Knowledge of beverage operations and wines. 
Strong mathematical abilities in order to determine and track inventory, controls, revenue productions, and other hotel financial statements. 
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests and employees, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and to collect accurate information and to resolve problems. 
Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods. 
Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system. 
Interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction. 
Implement, oversee, and maintain all company policies and procedures. 
Create a positive company culture of a commitment to excellence 
Ability to create a forecast and budget for all controllable costs 
Maintain standards according to DOH, fire safety, and employment regulations High School graduate or equivalent required. 
Four-year college degree preferred. 
Bachelor degree in hospitality management, Business, or related field preferred 
At least five years' experience in related field preferred. 
Experience in the supervision of team members is required. 
Food Service Sanitation certification. Alcohol Service permit (if state required). CPR certification preferred. 
Proven team player willing to roll up your sleeves - a good leader should be willing and able to do whatever he or she asks of their team
Must exemplify the highest standards in honesty, integrity, humility and leadership

Physical Requirements 
Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
