Objectives:
- Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) welcomes local students with diverse experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds to participate in an immersive internship, offering the opportunity to explore and learn about performing arts center management.
- TPAC welcomes individuals who are eager to gain unique, hands-on experience and explore what it means to pursue a career in the performing arts. We encourage students from all academic majors to apply, regardless of prior knowledge or experience, as we value diverse perspectives and skill sets.
- However, applicants should have relevant interests or skills aligned with the area in which they are seeking an internship.
- Internships can range from 8-16 weeks with interns working 10 to 20 hours per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will be determined by the department for which the candidate is interning. Spring 2026 intern opportunities include:
- Guest Services- hands-on experience in customer service, event operations, and theater management by supporting staff with audience services, usher coordination, and front-of-house logistics during performances and special events.
Required:
- A strong interest in and enthusiasm for exploring a career in performing arts center management.
- Individuals who bring unique perspectives and experiences to performing arts administration and staffing, reflecting our commitment to inclusivity and valuing diverse voices and perspectives
- Open to all academic majors.
- Relevant knowledge or experience in the area of interest for the internship.
- Rising juniors, rising seniors, or graduate students.
- Good academic and conduct standing with their institution.
