Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist presso Heritage Valley Health System

Department: Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Work Hours: 6:30a-5p or 7a-5:30p, 10 hour shifts. On call for after hours, weekends, and holidays. Must be flexible with schedule and hours to meet the demand of the patient volume and departmental needs.

Primary responsibilities include assisting the physician in the scrub position during Cardiac, EP, Peripheral, and Radiology diagnostic and interventional procedures, advanced/structural heart and vascular procedures. Will assist with patient monitoring and imaging acquisition in the procedure room.  The technologist must coordinate his/her efforts with those of his/her co-workers including physicians, RN’s, techs, and clerical support to provide high quality, patient focused services.

Qualifications:

   Required:

• Must be a graduate of either a Cardiovascular Technology School or an ARRT program with strong CVT focus.
• Minimum of two years diagnostic and interventional Cardiac, Peripheral Vascular and EP experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of EKG interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile technique.
• Current BLS Certification or attain within six months of employment
• ACLS Certification (or attain within six months of employment)
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment

   Preferred:

• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist).
