The annual Girl Scout cookie program is the largest girl-led business in the world. It is also the way that Girl Scouts fund their activities and contributions to their communities. Like the Girl Scout program itself, these Cookie Cupboard roles are both an opportunity to earn money and to be part of this fun, exciting, and memorable annual event in the lives of Girl Scouts in your community.

The Cookie Cupboard Manager will support GSEMA's Cookie Cupboards during the annual Girl Scout Cookie Program. The Cookie Cupboard Manager will be responsible for managing cookie inventory and ensuring client service excellence. This is a customer-facing role and will involve processing and filling cookie orders (counted in cases of cookies, each containing twelve packages) for troop volunteers and staff running council-organized Girl Scout programs. This position will report to the Associate Director of Product Program. 

This is a temporary, part-time position, is effective at the end of November 2025  to a date to be determined in March 2026.  

Hours: Must be able to work the established Cupboard schedule for position and location for the duration of the cookie program (Fridays 9:00 am-12:00 pm, Saturday 8:30 am-12:30 pm). Hours are flexible and volume-based from end of November 2025 -March 2026).

Environment and  Physical Requirements:

Cupboard staff are often exposed to cold weather for extended periods of time and must dress appropriately for various winter weather conditions. This position is primarily outdoors. Will have prolonged periods of standing and moving/lifting cases of cookies.

Cupboard staff must be able to use a step stool, lift up to 20 pounds and be able to move and pack cases of cookies to assist volunteers, families, and staff with loading and unloading cars, vans, and storage areas, indoors and out. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communication: Take calls from volunteers about their orders, address changes and/or adjustments.
  • Distribution: Use the cookie program database (vendor-specific software; training provided to track and fill orders. Assist volunteers and staff in picking up their cookie orders by pulling cookies from pallets, reading order forms and providing excellent customer service to ensure a smooth pickup process.
  • Quality Control:  Ensure cookie stocks are in excellent condition, organized, properly sorted and ready for distribution. 
  • Inventory Management: Manage and report Cookie Cupboard inventory daily. Work with Cookie Cupboard team and the delivery agent to provide oversight of the weekly cookie delivery. Maintain inventory by keeping cupboard stock organized.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with the Product Program team and staff to make the Cookie Cupboard a positive experience environment for volunteers, family members and staff members picking up cookies.

Skills and Qualifications:  

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Have a customer-focused mindset, and committed to delivering excellent customer service with a collaborative and supportive approach.
  • Candidates will be reliable, solution-oriented, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly learn software programs and use them accurately and efficiently with experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) are required.
  • Girl Scout experience is a plus.
