The Scholarship Outreach and Project Assistant supports the financial aid and scholarship office by assisting with scholarship-related projects, outreach efforts, and general office operations. This position focuses on engaging with students primarily via phone and other communication channels to provide accurate scholarship and financial aid information. The ideal candidate will be familiar with scholarship policies and regulations, possess strong organizational skills, and be capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Position Duties

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete all required financial aid training and actively learn about federal and state financial aid regulations during the training period
  • Conduct scholarship outreach to students through phone calls, emails, and other communication platforms to promote scholarship opportunities
  • Collaborate with financial aid and scholarship staff to support events, outreach initiatives, and office projects as needed
  • Assist with scholarship application processing, tracking, and completion of assigned scholarship and outreach projects
  • Provide accurate information to students, parents, and staff regarding scholarship opportunities, eligibility criteria, and application requirements
  • Support front desk operations by answering phones, greeting visitors, responding to general inquiries, and ensuring excellent customer service
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records and uphold compliance with institutional, federal, and state regulations related to financial aid and student information
  • Perform general clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and data entry to ensure accurate recordkeeping and efficient office operations
  • Other things may be required to complete, related to the job environment

Minimum Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional and friendly attitude
  • Excellent communication skills - Bilingual or multilingual is a plus
  • Familiarity with computers, and Microsoft Office suite, especially EXCEL 
  • The ability to learn and work independently and as a member of the team
  • To demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and responsibility

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have completed FAFSA on file
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum six (6) credit hours
  • Must NOT have yet obtained 1st Bachelor's Degree
  • Must be seeking an eligible program of study
