Description

RETTEW seeks a highly motivated and experienced Payroll Assistant to join our Human Resources Team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in payroll or payroll tax administration. Multi-state and multi-company experience is a plus.


Part-time (20-25 hours a week), flexible schedule with benefits included.


Responsibilities:

- Assist with processing biweekly payroll

- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll

- Maintain payroll records and files

- Maintain employee records in the payroll system through accurate data entry, including position, salary, benefits, and tax withholding changes

-  Assist with state withholding and unemployment registrations 

- Assist with resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee payroll queries

- Assist with year-end payroll processing


Requirements:

- Minimum of three years of payroll or payroll tax experience

- Detail-oriented mindset

- Strong mathematical and analytical skills

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Multi-state and multi-company experience is a plus

- Proficient in Microsoft Office
