Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to join our team. This position will have Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable responsibilities and some general ledger tasks may also be assigned.  This individual will work closely with the Senior Accountant and Controller to ensure payable and receivable records are timely and accurate. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, highly motivated, and able to work with minimum supervision. We are seeking a candidate who wants to grow with our company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepare and send customer invoicing and manage collections processes.

· Record customer payments and deposits.

· Prepare lien waivers as needed for pay applications.

· Enter vendor invoices, credit card charges, and automated payments.

· Maintain subcontractor records (including collecting and reviewing certificates of insurance (COI), subcontractor agreements and W-9 forms.)

· Account Reconciliations and Journal Entries

· Develop and document new accounting procedures as needed.

· Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

· Follow standard operating procedures and maintain compliance with internal controls.

· Responsible for quickly becoming a QuickBooks Enterprise expert.

· Other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.

· Minimum of 1-2 years using QuickBooks preferred.

· Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Solid organizational skills; able to multi-task and complete requests in a timely and professional manner.

· Resourceful; can devise creative solutions to problems.

· Read and write English.

· Speaking—Talking to others to convey information effectively.

· Critical Thinking—Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

· Time Management—Managing one’s own time and reporting accurately.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications: 

· Must pass pre-employment drug test, reference, and background check.
