The role you will contribute:
Responsible for applying technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to provide timely financial information. This position demonstrates competencies in technical accounting, projections, and financial analysis. Additionally, this role supports recording monthly close journal entries, financial reporting, and analysis of spend projections. In addition, this position requires a strong work ethic, analytical skills, trainability, and effective communication. Ensures intermediate Excel skills are utilized to perform financial tasks efficiently.
The value you will bring to the team:
· Compiles actual spend incurred by various departments related to the project, ensuring only approved project expenses are included.
· Creates and initiates allocations associated with the project to distribute costs appropriately.
· Compiles monthly data required to populate financial reports and dashboards.
· Reconciles and validates monthly financial and statistical data to ensure accuracy.
· Participates in the monthly close process, posting journal entries, and creating facility transfers.
· Compiles and publishes updated benchmark survey data for financial analysis.
· Creates and compiles schedules for the annual budget process to support financial planning.
· Provides financial information and analysis for ad-hoc reports or decision support needs.
· Develops and tracks key performance indicators to monitor financial health.
· Maintains appropriate documentation and audit trails for all financial activities.
· Monitors work to ensure quality, accuracy, and thoroughness with data.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Bachelor's degree Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years accounting/finance experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Financial reporting and analysis
• Business Intelligence Software (PeopleSoft, HPM, Qlikview, etc.)
• Microsoft Access
• 1+ years of healthcare finance experience
