Shaping operational excellence through strategy, leadership, and innovation.
- Operational Leadership – Direct day-to-day activities for dispatch and transportation teams, ensuring seamless performance across OTR, intermodal, local drayage, and rail operations.
- Strategy Development – Create and execute transportation network strategies that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and align with business goals.
- Vendor Management – Negotiate contracts, manage relationships with carriers and Intermodal Marketing Companies (IMCs), and ensure compliance with service-level agreements.
- Performance Optimization – Develop metrics and processes for tracking shipments, improving visibility, and enhancing communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Compliance & Safety – Ensure operations adhere to transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies through effective procedures and oversight.
- Technology & Analytics – Leverage transportation management systems (TMS) and data analytics to optimize routing, scheduling, and performance.
- Team Leadership – Lead, mentor, and develop geographically dispersed management and dispatch teams to ensure alignment, accountability, and growth.
- Collaboration & Communication – Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams to deliver operational excellence and exceptional customer experiences.
- Continuous Improvement – Identify, evaluate, and implement best practices to enhance operational effectiveness and adaptability in a dynamic logistics environment.

- Education – Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications – Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or Certified in Transportation and Logistics (CTL) preferred.
- Experience –
- 8+ years of experience in transportation management and dispatch operations.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing diverse, multi-site teams.
- Strong background in intermodal rail operations, OTR trucking, and vendor management.
- Proven success in developing operational strategies, managing budgets, and improving performance metrics.
- Skills & Knowledge –
- In-depth knowledge of purchased transportation, routing, and dispatch operations.
- Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
- Financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets and control costs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and dispatch software (Proficiency with Trinium and Truckmate TMS platforms preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools.
