Position Summary:

Since 1961, the Wellborn family has owned and operated Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The goal is to provide kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated Wellborn employees with the utmost quality and care. Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. As the final point of contact between the factory and our customer, this role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all shipping teammates know how to handle cabinets properly to avoid injury and damage.Ensure all shipping teammates know how to correctly place cabinets in shipping bays and in the correct order by stop and orientation.
• Ensure shipping teammates keep work areas clean and organized, and daily floor sweeping is complete.
• Ensure all loads are scanned properly to the correct trucks and in the correct order.
• Seek out shortages after a load is sent downstairs.
• Cross train employees on different jobs in the department.
• Uses company procedures to resolve problems.
• Ensure employees keep work areas clean, including floor sweeping and organization.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Basic knowledge of how to read cabinet labels to stage cabinets in correct order.
• Able to learn How to orient the cabinets correctly in the staging bays.
• Able to lift cabinets that could weigh up to 100 pounds.
• Able to walk throughout the whole shift.
• Must have good communication and training skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to Lead and Motivate employees.
• Daily communication with Supervisors, Managers, etc. in other departments.
• Possesses a willingness to learn new ways to enhance productivity.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, GED, or 1yr of equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated skills in organization, planning, prioritizing and time management.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and timely completion of tasks.
• Computer skills and job scheduling required.

Scope and Impact:

Position has recurring work situations that involve having a high attention to detail and service results. It is important that Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. Safety protocols be followed as a guide for operational direction. Failing to follow prescribed guidelines will waste resources and adversely impact performance.

Employee is subject to outside and inside environmental conditions, inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change. • Primarily works in a manufacturing environment.
• Frequently required use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear clearly.
• Frequently required to bend; lift; stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Frequently required to lift 30–60-pound boxes overhead.  Occasionally required lift overhead and/or move boxes that weigh a minimum of 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Uses back brace and gloves. (optional). Company provided.
