At Alabama Credit Union, we want you to feel good about your future. This placement opportunity is offered through a Regional Branch Director in West Alabama located at the Main branch in Tuscaloosa, AL. The role of the Intern position is to learn about branch operations through the Member Experience Representative role as well as learn how other functions of the Credit Union support the frontline team members and membership base as a whole. 


Start Date/Duration: This internship is part-time (approximately 37.5 hours per week) and temporary ( 10 weeks ).
The program begins on May 26, 2026, and runs through July 31, 2026. Work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:00.


The Branch Operations Intern will... 

  • Visit area branches and perform other duties necessary for branch support.
  • Research other branch and similar retail business to discover opportunities to create an optimum branch experience for Alabama Credit Union members and staff.
  • Attend civic and organizational functions to represent Alabama Credit Union.
  • Provide friendly, accurate service to all members and employees

Branch Operations Intern Qualifications
Successful candidates will display the following:
A desire to get it right- to uphold ACU's high service standards when working with members and co-workers; to go all-out in completing your work correctly, and to fix problems when they occur.
An "I've got your back" attitude- All of our employees should carry out their jobs with the end result on our members and co-workers in mind. We will also rely on you to complete projects that benefit our employees and members. You have only ten weeks to learn from us, and we want to know that you can get the most out of it. Great punctuality and attendance are expected in order to make this happen.
A wish to make others smile- Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy; good oral and written communication skills so that you may confidently and competently share knowledge; and good organizational skills will support this.
Never settling for less- We seek individuals who are pushing the envelope on their own personal and professional development. It is preferred that the Commercial Lending Intern candidates should have successfully completed coursework in Finance, Investments, or Personal Financial Management and have some experience working with tax returns.
A history of engaging your world- Positively impacting your community through service, and a desire to get involved to create positive experiences for others.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and web-based applications
