General Description:
- The Jr. Plan Advisor position is designed to provide the necessary skill set an employee would need to independently service a book of retirement plan clients independently in the future. The role consists of rotating through three primary specialist roles within the retirement plan division: Investment Analyst, Conversion Manager, and Plan Pricing Specialist. Once each of these roles is mastered, the plan advisor will be eligible for promotion to a Sr. Advisor, at which time they will take the lead on managing client relationships. This role is designed to be a learning position to prepare for a long-tenured career within the organization. Applicants should be self-motivated to learn and grow.
- The Jr. Plan Advisor role is a salaried position, but comes with a revenue based retention bonus. All advisors are encouraged to prospect and build their own book of business on which they are able to earn commissions if appropriately licensed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation of quarterly investment reporting
- Conversion project management
- Collecting plan pricing and investment information
- Database entry and administrative support
- Support to current Sr. Advisors in client relationship management where needed
Required Experience/ Characteristics:
- No experience required, but general understanding of investments and limited financial industry experience preferred.
- Must be customer-service oriented, and work well in a team environment
- Willingness and ability to learn on the job
- Very good organization skills
- Ability to work with computer databases and Microsoft Office Suite
Required Licenses:
- Series 65 (must be obtained prior to independently servicing business)
- Life & Health license is recommended, but not required.

The base salary range for this position is $60,000 – $81,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
