Description

Automotive Technician - Summary

The Automotive Lube Technician is responsible for performing basic maintenance services on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements. This entry-level position plays a vital role in ensuring customer vehicles are properly maintained and safe for the road, while supporting the service team with inspections and minor repairs.

Lube Technician - Essential Duties

  • Perform oil and filter changes, lubrications, and basic maintenance services on a variety of vehicles.

  • Inspect vehicle systems including tires, brakes, fluid levels, belts, hoses, and filters.

  • Rotate and balance tires as needed.

  • Refill or replace vehicle fluids (coolant, transmission, brake, power steering, windshield washer, etc.).

  • Maintain accurate service records and report any findings or concerns to senior technicians or service advisors.

  • Keep the shop area clean, organized, and free of hazards.

  • Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.

  • Assist senior technicians with repairs and diagnostics as directed.

  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous experience in basic vehicle maintenance preferred (but not always required).

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and automotive systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
