A Healthier Future Starts with You
At Siemens Healthineers, we pioneer breakthroughs in healthcare. For everyone. Everywhere. Sustainably. The Healthcare Consulting Solutions (HCS) Design Visualization Engineers (DVEs) are trusted advisors who drive laboratory transformation by bridging customer workflow efficiency needs, space constraints, infrastructure limitations, and utility requirements to ensure Siemens Healthineers laboratory diagnostics solutions deliver the reliable and timely results that clinicians need to make critical healthcare decisions for patients. Working closely with Healthcare Consultants (who lead the design of diagnostics solutions), implementation teams (who execute the installation of diagnostics solutions), and customer teams (physical facilities, engineering or architectural firms) they guide projects to success by ensuring technical requirements are identified, communicated, and completed so that lab sites are ready for installation and go-live.
Position Summary
DVEs use their knowledge and expertise to document designs and create visualizations of laboratory layouts designed by Healthcare Consultants. They use Computer-Aided Designed (CAD) software to generate these drawings of customer facilities. Additionally, the HCS Design and Visualization Engineer will be a critical partner to Consulting and Implementation teams in ensuring solution designs are approved by critical stakeholders (Customer, third-party equipment manufacturers etc.) to ensure seamless transition from solution design and solution sale to solution implementation. Supports the Project Manager by delivering outputs which will be used by the PMs to define project timelines and implementation strategy for Diagnostic solutions. As such, the DVE is the owner of all processes required to document future state layouts and “As-Built” layouts that will facilitate construction, remodeling, and other projects critical for customer success. The DVE is responsible for the generation of high-quality documentation and outputs (Final layouts, specification packets, transition plans) that Siemens Healthineers customers can use to prepare and plan laboratory construction projects (for small, medium, and large projects) within their organizations or through third-party engineering or architectural firms. Will coordinate with the Project Manager and other stakeholders on automation equipment deliveries associated with the project. They will work with architects, facilities and contractors to provide environmental requirements (water, power, data waste, air, heat generation, etc.) helping customers design plans to achieve site readiness for our various solutions according to defined environmental and equipment specific requirements, as well as any local, state, or federal regulation. The DVE interfaces and communicates with facilities and contract teams to drive and verify site readiness for installation. They also place orders and schedule delivery for Automation systems and components.
