Forest Park Band Color Guard Director POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Color Guard Director is responsible for designing, teaching, and supervising all aspects of the high school's color guard program, including fall marching band. This individual works closely with the band director and staff to creat a high-quality visual performance program that enhances the overall marching band production while promoting student growth, discipline, teamwork, and artistry.
REPORTS TO:
- Forest Park Band Director and Principals
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience teaching and choreographing color guard and/or dance
- Strong knowledge or marching band visual design and performance techniques
- Ability to teach flag, rifle, sabre, and movement fundamentals safely and effectively
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Commitment to student development and the mission of the music education program
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Rehearsals and performances may include evenings, weekends, summer band camp, and competition days
