POSITION SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will provide junior-level scheduling and program management support for Unmanned Maritime Systems (UMS) programs at Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division. Support the development and maintenance of comprehensive Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for both Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities. Work with the Project Manager and ILS Manager to coordinate scheduling activities across multiple UMS programs including Mine Countermeasures (MCM) systems, Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUVs), and Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs), ensuring alignment with Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) integration events and program milestones.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain a complete project Integrated Master Schedule using the most current version of Microsoft Project, including current and projected milestones, approved and funded tasks for the current fiscal year, unfunded tasks, and projected future year activities.
  • Support the ILS Manager in developing and maintaining a comprehensive logistics milestone schedule consisting of current and projected milestones for the ILS program, reflecting LCS integration scheduled events.
  • Coordinate schedule development activities with the Project Manager to ensure all program milestones, deliverables, and activities are accurately captured and tracked.
  • Prepare and analyze schedules and reports in accordance with the program's Schedule Management Plan; perform schedule update procedures, recovery plans, and "what-if" analyses as required.
  • Establish and monitor execution towards program milestones, key events, and significant accomplishment criteria across multiple UMS programs.
  • Support the collection and collation of scheduling data and assist in the interpretation of timelines for program stakeholders.
  • Perform IMS critical path analysis, schedule slack assessments, and task predecessor/successor networking to identify potential schedule risks.
  • Distribute schedules to program stakeholders; ensure the ILS milestone schedule serves as the Government-approved basis for product deliveries.
  • Support weekly program management meetings by providing schedule status updates and addressing schedule-related questions.
  • Integrate logistics milestone schedules with overall program schedules to ensure synchronization between engineering, testing, and logistics activities.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project scheduling software
  • Knowledge of integrated master scheduling principles and best practices
  • Understanding of schedule development methodologies, including milestone tracking, critical path analysis, and network scheduling
  • Knowledge of program management concepts, including task dependencies, resource allocation, and schedule risk assessment
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and synthesize scheduling requirements across diverse program activities
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) program management processes and acquisition lifecycle phases
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting program data and translating into schedule requirements
  • SECRET security clearance
  • U.S. citizen
