We are seeking a CDL A Driver to join our team! This position will be driving within a 100-mile radius and will be home every night. This position will assist with loading and unloading products and may be required to “jockey” from plant to plant. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of CDL A driving and warehouse experience.
This is a full-time, union-hourly position located in Lancaster, PA. Hours are Monday-Friday, 6 AM – 2:30 PM. Saturdays as needed.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operate and controls truck in accordance with highway laws and regulations pertaining to trucks and load limits
- Maintain records in accordance with Company procedures and governing laws
- Assist, and/or load, and/or unload, product for delivery
- May be required to “jockey” from plant to plant
In addition, but not limited to the above requirements, this individual will be required, at times, to possess, troubleshoot, repair, or maintain the following:
- Secure and maintain a violation free Pennsylvania driver’s license
- Report all necessary repairs of vehicle to supervisor
- Responsible for minor repairs of vehicles, including maintaining of proper oil level, tire inflation, water level, etc., not but limited to
- Responsible for proper loading of product, i.e., stacking, tie down, etc.
- Required to position trailers at various locations as needed
- May be required to deliver and/or pick-up product where overnight stay(s) are necessary
- Responsible for all motor violations within the control of the driver
- Performs related work as directed commensurate with this or lesser rated labor grade
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Valid CDL A license
- Three years of CDL A driving experience
- Must know how to drive manual/stick CDL
- Warehouse experience a plus
