Metro PT is looking for an experienced full time HR Business Partner to join our growing People team! The HR Business Partner - Talent Engagement & Development plays a key strategic role in aligning people initiatives with organizational goals. This position focuses on employee engagement, retention, and professional growth, ensuring our team members feel connected, supported, and positioned for long-term success.
Working closely with leadership, this role designs and implements programs that strengthen culture, enhance the employee experience, and build a skilled, future-ready workforce. This is an on-site position located at our Garden City headquarters.
What You’ll be Doing!
Engagement and Retention:
- Develop and implement engagement and retention strategies, such as conducting "stay" and exit interviews.
- Analyze turnover metrics and employee feedback to identify trends and develop action plans.
- Promote a positive culture through programs, recognition, and communication.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure retention and engagement plans are locally executed.
Talent Development:
- Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and other learning opportunities to close skill gaps.
- Partner with Leadership to ensure succession plans to support internal growth.
- Partner with managers to enhance performance management, goal setting, and coaching effectiveness.
- Coordinate mentorship and job shadowing opportunities.
- Onboarding:
- Drive a comprehensive onboarding program to help new hires succeed within their first 90 days and beyond.
- Develop and enhance tools and resources to improve the new hire experience.
- Data analysis and reporting:
- Track and report on key metrics related to engagement, turnover, and development.
- Use data from surveys and HR systems to measure the impact of programs and make recommendations.
- Cross-functional collaboration:
- Partner with HR Business Partners, leadership, and other stakeholders to align talent programs with business objectives.
- Support diversity and inclusion initiatives related to hiring and retention.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in employee engagement, talent management, and/or retention strategy development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across levels.
- Proficiency in data analysis and HR systems, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
- A proactive, empathetic, and strategic mindset with a passion for fostering a positive and high-performing culture.
