Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Factory Supervisor to oversee the manufacturing operations at our facility in Bessemer, AL. The Factory Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring production targets are met, maintaining and improving cycle time and takt time, hiring new labor, overseeing equipment installation, ensuring plant safety, and upholding 5S standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are met.
  • Monitor and improve cycle time and takt time to enhance efficiency.
  • Hire, train, and manage new labor for the plant.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Implement and maintain 5S standards to ensure a clean and organized workplace.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.
  • Address and resolve any production issues that arise.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.
  • Manage and lead all key main activities, construction, improvements, equipment installation, commissioning, etc on the Bessemer plant location.
  • Identify and implement continue improvement actions.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Factory Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment. 5 plus years of experience is desired.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operations.
  • Experience with cycle time and takt time management.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and 5S standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Engineering bachelor's degree or related fields
  • 50lb lifting is required
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Previous experience with sheet metal fabrication (rollforming, bending, cutting) equipment and related processes is a plus.
  • Demonstrate Great values, attitude, and hands on activity are also a plus.
