Job Overview
We are seeking a full-time, bilingual (Spanish-speaking) individual with a motivated and detail-oriented approach to join our team as an Entry-Level Optician. No prior optical experience is required—just a passion for helping others and a willingness to learn! As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in helping patients select eyeglasses or contact lenses that meet their specific vision needs. You will receive hands-on training to learn how to interpret prescriptions, recommend suitable frames and lenses, and deliver exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Patients with Eyewear Selection: Guide patients in choosing eyeglass frames and lenses based on prescription, face shape, lifestyle needs, and personal style.
- Learn to Interpret Prescriptions: With training, understand and apply vision prescriptions provided by Optometrists or Ophthalmologists.
- Support Frame Fitting & Adjustments: Learn how to measure for and fit eyewear to ensure comfort and effectiveness.
- Submit and Track Orders: Help submit orders to optical labs and ensure timely delivery.
- Perform Minor Eyewear Repairs: Gain skills to make simple frame repairs and adjustments.
- Educate Patients on Eyewear Care: Instruct patients on proper care and handling of their eyeglasses and contact lenses, including cleaning, storage, and usage.
- Maintain Inventory and Display: Organize, restock, and manage frame inventory; ensure the optical area is clean, professional, and patient-friendly.
- Insurance and Billing Support: Assist with verifying vision insurance benefits and preparing basic billing information (training provided).
- Collaborate with Staff: Work closely and communicate with clinical, front desk, and billing team to ensure coordinated care and a positive patient experience.
- Continued Learning: Maintain knowledge of current eyewear trends, lens technology, and product offerings to better assist patients.

Preferred but Not Required
