Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble harnesses and electromechanical assemblies for flight and development applications
- Work side-by-side with engineering in a fast-paced environment
- Execute brand-new processes, interpret engineering intent, and provide feedback to help improve documentation and planning
- Read, interpret, and work from drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and other controlled documentation/processes
- Perform verification testing of flight hardware and document results in a clear, precise and complete manner
- Support projects that improve the operational efficiency of the avionics production area
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 4+ years of experience using electrical and mechanical hand tools within a production environment
- Demonstrated experience fabricating wire harnesses in a production environment
- Ability to adapt to changing work assignments and thrive in an agile work environment
- Self-motivated and excellent attention to detail
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience working on vehicles of any kind, such as cars, planes, rockets, spacecraft, drones, or boats
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience with multi-meters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, power supplies, hi-pot testers, or other electrical test equipment
- Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to distinguish colors is required
