Bus Driver presso Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows

PRIMARY FUNCTION: 

The Bus Driver is responsible for picking up and dropping off Boys and Girls Club members and managing a daily route. This position also completes deliveries & pickups, and transports items for special events as needed. They ensure strict compliance with all sanitation measures, social distancing, and face coverings, reporting all COVID related health concerns to the Area Director. The Bus Driver also assists in maintaining Club vehicles.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Pick up and deliver Boys and Girls Club members in a safe and timely manner.
• Assist the Transportation or the Facilities Department with routine maintenance and upkeep.
• Provide a safe and secure environment and experience for all Club members.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment at all times.
• Adhering to all COVID-related protocols, including hand and equipment sanitation, mask compliance, and social distancing, as applicable per State of Nevada guidance.
• Adhering to dress code policy by wearing uniform and other apparel items as required for the position.
• ALL BGCTM employees have the responsibility to help maintain the safety of our members and staff, and ensure an optimal Club experience for all.

Qualifications

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Demonstrate skills both verbal and written to communicate with a diverse population of members, as well as adults.

CERTIFICATION/ASSOCIATION:

• Commercial Driver License with Passenger endorsement with a clean driving record required.
• Must be over 25 years of age.
• After hire, will receive mandatory paid on-line and in-person training, including Safety Skills, CPR/First Aid, etc.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• 6 months commercial driving experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Staff working with our members are considered to be in a safety sensitive position and are required to submit to pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana and random drug screening, as applicable.
• Must be able to perform duties which require walking, talking, hearing, standing, sitting, bending for long periods of time.  May occasionally be required to kneel, run and/or climb.
• Must be able to use hands and arms to enter data into the computer, use the telephone and other office equipment
• Must be able to lift, move manipulate and or hold objects up to 45 pounds. Objects that exceed the 45 pound weight limit require additional assistance when moving, lifting or manipulating.
