PRIMARY PURPOSE: Partner with leaders across the organization to bring process, structure, and data together to address key organizational challenges and opportunities. In doing so, drive sustainable, profitable growth by improving the fan experience and/or the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with departments to not only surface these opportunities but develop plans to take action against them, tools to monitor progress, and a process to continue to learn and improve moving forward.
Potential project work could be helping the organization to:
- Conduct in-depth research and quantitative analysis of ticketing strategies and frameworks to design and recommend a data-driven secondary market strategy for Club, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and risk appetite.
- Create and execute process to inform capital investment decisions, incorporating cross-functional input and analytical research to recommend fan-focused, revenue generating ballpark improvements
- Develop a structure to systematically understand cost to serve across the Guardians products to inform strategic decision-making. Recommend product, benefits, service, and pricing adjustments to improve margin.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Strategic Analysis & Project Management
- Partner with Sr. leaders and department heads across the organization to lead a collaborative assessment of current state of the business and to identify growth or efficiency improvement opportunities
- Develop recommendations regarding prioritization of opportunities, assessing both the resources required to create an impact and the benefit to the fan and/or to the organization
- Create resourcing recommendations and present to Sr. leadership, identifying and enrolling necessary cross-functional resources to engage to pursue prioritized opportunities
- Identify relevant best practices and innovative approaches from within and outside of the industry that could be used to accelerate progress against prioritized opportunities
- Lead cross-functional resources in designing and implementing new approaches, tools, and strategies to take action on prioritized opportunities and present solutions to Sr. leadership
- Provide coaching, feedback, and accountability for cross-functional resources (through direct management or dotted line structure) to ensure they contribute effectively to the project’s success and to help them develop professionally
- Lead cross-functional resources in building tools and systems to monitor new approaches, tools, and strategies and measure their impact over time
- Craft leadership and stakeholder engagement strategy to ensure key Sr. leaders, ownership, etc. are appropriately engaged at key points in the project design and implementation
- Develop clear documentation and transition plans to embed capability for on-going use of new approaches, tools, and strategies within the department
Business Planning
- Support Sr. leaders and department heads to establish an approach (or further build upon existing approaches) to guide annual business planning to help achieve the organization’s Strategic Priorities
- Recommend metrics and goals against which to measure progress

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or Statistics or other relevant field is required, a Master's degree is strongly preferred
A minimum of 3-7 years experience in a strategy role within sports or management consulting, consumer product goods, or an innovations focused analytical role is preferred.
Experience within the sports/consumer packaged goods industry collaborating with internal sales, marketing, and management teams is preferred
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong initiative and the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to partner and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
- Superior strategic analysis competencies – performs sophisticated hypothesis-driven analysis with only broad oversight and passion to create decision tools to support business team
- Understanding of financial principles/techniques of financial analysis, including discounted cash flows and other valuation techniques
- Ability to understand implications of analysis and probe deeper when confronted with inconsistent or insightful findings
- Ability to draw well-integrated conclusions and tell a cohesive story from insights and analyses
- Understanding of statistics and experience in regression analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint skills. Knowledge of Tableau, SQL or R is a plus. Must have a strong interest to learn and use new software which improves work efficiency and output

The expected annual salary range for this position is $93,853.83 - $103,630.15. This range serves as a general guideline; actual compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
