Assistant Service Manager presso Hogan Transportation

Job Summary

Supports the Service Manager in coordinating daily operations of the maintenance shops. Ensures timely, safe, and cost-effective repair and servicing of company tractors, trailers, and related equipment. Responsible for scheduling preventative maintenance, coordinating repairs, and maintaining strong vendor relationships to support efficient operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

� Coordinates and schedules preventative maintenance and repair activities for company tractors, trailers, and related equipment.
� Communicates with vendors to arrange outsourced repairs, warranty service, and parts procurement; maintains positive vendor relationships.
� Tracks and monitors vendor performance, service quality, and pricing to ensure cost-effective and timely repairs.
� Assists the Service Manager in ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
� Maintains accurate maintenance and repair records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
� Supports budgeting, cost tracking, and invoice processing for maintenance and repair activities.
� Handles service coordination issues and communicates updates to internal stakeholders.
� Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

� High school diploma or GED required.
� 3�5 years of admin experience

� Knowledge of tractor and trailer systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical.
� Strong understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, and safety compliance.
� Excellent communication, organizational, and vendor management skills.
� Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
� Proficiency with maintenance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
