Description
GENERAL:
It is the responsibility of the Lender to work with and assist all customers with the lending process.
Furthermore this position has the following defined duties:
DUTIES:
- Take loan applications and collect applicable supporting documentation
- Establish and negotiate terms for proposed loans
- Evaluate and underwrite loan requests
- Work with customers to properly structure loans to meet the customer's needs while adhering to bank lending policy and regulation
- Coordinate loan closing: Complete loan contracts by explaining documents to applicant; obtaining signatures and notarizations; and collecting closing fees
- Deny loan requests to person and entities that do not meet the criteria established by bank lending policies
- Educate customers about loans and lending processes, by answering questions and responding to customer requests
- Collect delinquent loans and assist in determining the feasibility of taking legal action against delinquent accounts and related accounts
- Attend all Supervisors meetings and training as required
- Participate in community activities and bank promotions
- Actively pursue lending opportunities within our market place
- Cross sell bank products to new and existing customers
- Loan Surveillance: Monitor and analyze existing lending relationships according to loan policy guidelines. Includes but is not limited to obtaining updated financial statements, tax returns, rent rolls, etc
