Monitor Tech- Full Time - Days
Department: Telemetry Monitoring Location: Lake Charles, LA**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a Monitor Tech to join our healthcare team. The Monitor Tech will be responsible for observing patients' heart rhythms, documenting ECG patterns, and notifying the nursing staff of any irregularities.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Previous experience as a Monitor Tech or in a related role preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
**Responsibilities:**
- Monitor and document patients' heart rhythms
- Recognize and report any abnormalities or changes in ECG patterns
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patients' conditions
- Ensure monitoring equipment is functioning properly
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
**Additional Requirements:**
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures a plus
