Position Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be a strategic and operational leader responsible for driving growth, discipline, and efficiency across seven different business units. This role will oversee Sales, Marketing, and Operations, ensuring each division performs at peak efficiency while working cohesively toward company-wide goals. The ideal candidate is both a visionary and an operator, someone who can translate strategy into action, scale systems, and hold teams accountable to results. This person will work directly alongside ownership to set priorities, shape culture, and ensure operational excellence across all brands under the Inch & Co. umbrella.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the Owners to define and execute Inch & Co.’s short- and long-term business strategy.
- Translate company goals into actionable operating plans and measurable KPIs.
- Align all divisions (Sales, Marketing, Operations) to drive growth, profitability, and consistency.
- Identify new market opportunities and expansion strategies that align with company capabilities.
Operational Execution
- Oversee day-to-day operations across seven businesses to ensure projects, deliverables, and budgets stay on track.
- Standardize operating procedures and implement systems for performance tracking, accountability, and communication.
- Build repeatable processes that enable scale while maintaining the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of Inch & Co.
- Ensure each division has clear workflows, reporting structures, and success metrics.
Sales & Marketing Leadership
- Lead company-wide marketing strategy to strengthen brand awareness, lead generation, and conversion.
- Ensure alignment between sales and marketing teams to create seamless customer experiences and drive top-line revenue.
- Monitor and optimize the company’s sales funnel, from marketing campaigns through closing and retention.
- Oversee creative strategy, messaging consistency, and digital marketing performance across all divisions.
Team & Culture
- Lead and mentor a team of high-performing leaders across Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
- Create a culture of ownership, transparency, and accountability throughout the organization.
- Support leadership development and succession planning to ensure sustainable growth.
- Reinforce Inch & Co.’s values of creativity, speed, and execution.
Financial & Performance Oversight
- Manage and monitor key financial metrics — revenue, expenses, margin performance, and cash flow — across each business unit.
- Work with accounting and finance teams to ensure budgets are managed effectively and goals are achieved.
- Provide regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of leadership experience in multi-division or multi-brand organizations.
- Proven track record of leading Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to exceed growth and profitability targets.
- Strong financial and analytical skills with a deep understanding of P&L management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people development skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
