GHSP, headquartered in West Michigan, is a leading global supplier of mechanical and electromechanical systems to the automotive, transportation, and appliance industry. We a currently searching for a Logistics Specialist to join our Finance team. Primary responsibilities will include the following:
- Provides cost estimates and quotes for international and domestic shipping for expediated/premium shipments.
- Manages the Shipment Request system for all the US locations.
- Coordinates daily shipping requirements for Holland Door 3.
- Work with Trade/Logistics Analyst on Customs related matters under Compliance Review ensuring correct Harmonized Tariff classification, valuation and country of origin is utilized.
- Oversee daily inbound material movement with GHSP Logistics suppliers to meet established MRP and transit time. Tracks/reports performance metrics for suppliers.
- Monitors weekly reporting for material teams’ visibility so ensure any disruptions are communicated timely.
- Oversee the design and maintenance of non-standard shipping methods (ie milk-runs)
