Data Architect – Analytics & Strategy (f/m) en Aveva

Key responsibilities 
 

• Architect the Analytical Data Layer
  Design and evolve the core data architecture that powers analytics and AI features across our software suite, ensuring scalability, consistency, and high data quality.

• Define Standards & Best Practices
  Establish robust data modeling standards and architectural guidelines that enable sustainable growth and seamless integration of data from multiple product modules.

• Collaborate Across Functions
  Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions and unified analytical models.

• Mentor and Lead
  Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineers, fostering a culture of excellence in data design, engineering practices, and architectural thinking.

• Drive Innovation in Data Infrastructure
  Evaluate and implement modern data stack components (e.g. Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, cloud platforms) to continuously improve performance, reliability, and agility.

• Align Architecture with Business Strategy
  Ensure that architectural decisions support long-term product vision and business goals, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Essential requirements
 

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytical data modeling.

• Deep expertise in SQL technologies (particularly SQL Server) and modern Lakehouse architectures (Azure Synapse, Data Lake).

• Proven experience designing and optimizing cloud-based ETL/ELT processes (Azure Synapse or similar).

• Strong knowledge of dimensional and semantic modeling for analytics.

• Experience implementing governance, security, and quality standards in analytical data environments

• Strong communication skills (English min. Level C1); German is a plus.

Desired skills and competencies
 

• Ability to communicate and document complex technical designs clearly.

• Strong mentoring skills and experience guiding technical peers.

• Experience with analytical data models in construction, engineering, or other data-intensive industries.
