District Technology Facilitator

Job Summary: The Teacher will provide educational technology support to teachers by working collaboratively with the principal and building technology leader.  Position requires modeling of educational technology strategies with teachers and working directly with building technology leaders to provide professional development and curriculum resources.  While this position will work with all grade levels, there will be a primary focus on supporting elementary education (K-5). 

Certification and Qualifications:  Valid Indiana teaching license and candidate should be well versed in Digital Citizenship, Blended and Personalized Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Science.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assess and document student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
2. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and collaborative planning.
3. Supervise students during school activities, field trips, and breaks.
4. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students' varying needs.
5. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior.
6. Comply with school policies, state regulations, and ethical teaching standards.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during classroom instruction and supervision.
2. Manual dexterity to operate classroom technology and equipment.
3. Visual and auditory ability to monitor student behavior and respond to classroom situations.
4. Ability to move quickly in response to student safety needs.
5. Ability to perform light physical activities—such as bending, kneeling, and reaching—as required in a classroom setting, as well as lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
