Description of Duties: (Fort Valley, GA)
TCC Aide: (May require evening and/or weekend work)
Facilitate or assist with groups for parents and/or children. Work with TCC lead staff/teacher/caregiver for daily instructions. Provide supervision for children in TCC setting. Assist mother with childcare needs, support children and parents who may be in crisis. Assists in monitoring, documentation, and charting all information required by the agency and its governing bodies. Assist in monitoring on-site visits between parents and their children. Assist in transporting daycare and/or school age resident children, to school and or appointments. Assist in monitoring resident children when the mother is absent from the center, i.e., medical, DFCS, or any other appointments where the child cannot attend. Participates in team facility meetings and or trainings. Maintains professional boundaries with children, mothers, and other family or support members. Reports all concerns regarding health and well-being of children and mothers to TCC Coordinator. Immediately report any and all suspicions of abuse to appropriate authorities i.e., TCC Coordinator, Clinical Director, as mandated by law. Ensures all areas are clean/sanitized and organized. Attend all monthly meetings, agency and TCC trainings.
DSP: The individual in this role will serve as a Direct Service Provider of the Residential Treatment Facility. Direct Support Staff will maintain the safety and security of residents and staff on assigned shift. Staff will respond promptly and professionally to emergencies. Staff will monitor residents and their children’s activities. Staff is responsible for making sure residents adhere to their daily schedules. Transporting individuals served is a requirement.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and eighteen (18) months qualifying childcare experience, preferable with the children of substance abusing parents. Valid, unrestricted Georgia Driver’s License, CPR and First Aid Certification. Must be computer literate.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related human services and one (1) year of qualifying childcare experience, preferably with children or substance abusing mothers.
