About the role.
The Easton manufacturing plant has a permanent full-time Utility Worker, Waste Treatment role available. This position provides general sanitation, delivery of goods and solid waste and recycling control services. This position works Monday to Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm.
What you’ll be doing.
- Assist in general waste treatment operations.
- Assist with building/yard maintenance tasks when required.
- Assist with snow removal, as necessary.
- Manage waste and recycle streams site wide.
- Operate heavy equipment in support of site needs.
- Maintain salt supplies for the boiler, ADR and potable water softeners.
- Operate dump truck during mud removal from Mud Hut.
- Operate forklift in accordance with company policy.
- Operate loader during snow removal, mud removal and other loader tasks as necessary.
- Responsible for proper operation of mud system.
- Transport waste from multiple areas.
What you’ll need to be successful.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum of three months related experience.
- Valid State of Maine class B license (for and Dump Truck Operation).
- Ability to obtain McCain Forklift Certification and Pay Loader Certification.
- Ability to pass DOT driver physical examination.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
