POSITION: Property Acquisitions Manager
SALARY: $41.71-$48.35, per hour
REPORTS TO: Natural Resource Director
LOCATION: Realty, Nespelem, WA
Basic Functions: The Real Estate Services Program Manager for the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation oversees acquisition, disposal, and contract/tenure real estate activities. Reporting to the Natural Resources Division Director, this position ensures compliance with laws and policies, safeguards tribal property assets, and represents members’ interests. The program manager supervises Realty Specialists and Assistants, handles staff training and evaluations, maintains confidentiality, coordinates with agencies, and manages records. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required, along with expertise in real estate, tribal regulations, and a dedication to tribal cultural values.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:
- Requires a BA Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or Management, Organization Management/Development, Public Administration, Natural Resource, or a related field AND thirty-six (36) months progressively responsible Real Estate management work experience, OR
- AA Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Management, Accounting, Natural Resource or a related field AND sixty (60) months in comparable position with progressively responsible experience and duties that reflect the ability to perform the duties of this position, OR
- Eighty-Four (84) months post-secondary education and paid experience demonstrating advanced Real Estate management skills, supervisory responsibilities that clearly demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of this position.
- Must possess a valid State Driver's License and be eligible for the Tribes' Vehicle Insurance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Requires demonstrable experience in maintaining multiple and complex schedules, drafting correspondence, preparing professional level presentation materials and position paperwork.
- Requires to have advanced communication skills (verbal & written), proficient in Standard English grammar, spelling and speech; advanced writing skills to communicate basic to highly technical information.
- Requires to have advanced interpersonal skills to work with diverse groups or individuals including: The ability to resolve conflict, work as a team member, cooperate with others in the performance of their duties.

- Requires knowledge of Laws, Regulation, or Federal or Department policies for land conveyances.
- Requires the ability to research, organize, plan, and carry out, projects and activities, development of policies/procedures.
- Requires to have advanced knowledge of office machines and PC with associated software and programs to perform duties.
- Requires to have knowledge of computer systems applications. Accesses, understands, and updates realty related systems; uses applicable IT resources (software); uses capabilities of software to perform job effectively; builds and performs queries.
- Requires to have a basic knowledge of Cadastral Geographic Information systems, Indian Trust Land Boundary Descriptions and other electronic data systems.
- Requires to be familiar with Tribal Government operations and Reservation/Cultural Issues and values.
- Requires work experience with a Federally recognized Tribes or BIA is preferred.
Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.

If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
