We will be hiring this position at either a BSA Analyst level I (one) or II (two) depending on experience.

 

Job Summary:

The BSA Analysts maintain the Bank’s AML/CFT/OFAC/CIP program to ensure loss prevention and suspicious activity controls are monitored. The BSA Analyst II also serves as the primary backup to the BSA Officer.


Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:


BSA Analyst I

  • Maintains the Bank’s AML/CFT/OFAC/CIP program by reviewing and investigating alerts in the AML/Fraud monitoring software. Creates cases and creates Suspicious Activity Reports, when required.
  • Performs the Bank’s Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes to ensure timely collection of accurate information and compliance with BSA, as well as performs reviews of the Bank’s OFAC alerts and CIP exceptions. Responds to the CIP semi-annual retrieval requests in a timely manner.
  • Reviews the filing of accurate and timely Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), monetary instruments logs, and foreign currency transactions
  • Performs public record checks for the Bank
  • Oversees the Bank’s compliance with Section 314(a) of the USA Patriot Act
  • Supports the maintenance of department system applications as well as user access rights
  • Performs other duties as assigned

BSA Analyst II

  • Maintains the Bank’s AML/CFT/OFAC/CIP program by reviewing and investigating alerts in the AML/Fraud monitoring software. Creates cases and creates Suspicious Activity Reports, when required.
  • Manages the Bank’s Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), including Money Service Business (MSB) on-site visits, to ensure timely collection of accurate information and compliance with BSA, manages the Bank’s OFAC alerts and CIP exceptions. Responds to the CIP semi-annual retrieval requests in a timely manner.
  • Serves as primary backup to BSA Officer, on an as-needed basis, by filing accurate and timely SARs, performing monitoring for customers including Cannabis Related Businesses (CRB), overseeing compliance with Section 314(b) of the USA Patriot Act, and completing correspondent bank due diligence certifications.
  • Assists in the creation and delivery of periodic BSA related training for Bank team members.
  • Manages the maintenance of department system applications as well as user access rights.
  • Reviews the filing of accurate and timely Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), monetary instruments logs, and foreign currency transactions.
  • Serves as backup to performing customer public record checks for the Bank.
  • Oversees the Bank’s compliance with Section 314(a) of the USA Patriot Act.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:


BSA Analyst I

  • At least five years of retail or operational banking experience required
  • At least three years of AML/CFT/OFAC related experience preferred
  • Four-year college degree in a related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

BSA Analyst II

  • At least five years of retail or operational banking experience required
  • At least five years of AML/CFT/OFAC related experience preferred
  • Four-year college degree in a related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with Verafin is preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain BSA certifications

Hiring Salary Range

The hiring range below reflects targeted base salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s prior related experience & education and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to base salary, most positions are also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. Select positions may also be eligible to earn incentives and/or commissions. Hiring Salary Range: BSA Analyst II $66,000 - $78,000, BSA Analyst I: $58,000 - $69,000.
