Job Description
You will be the Inventory & Materials Assistant for the Engineering & Technology (E&T) Stockroom Team. Our team safeguards the flow of aerospace engineering components and supplies, ensuring the right parts are where they’re needed, when they’re needed.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Inventory & Materials Assistant you will be responsible for tracking, receiving, storing, and issuing critical components and engineering consumables. You’ll support the E&T department by keeping inventory accurate, managing calibrated equipment, and coordinating timely deliveries.
Your responsibilities will include:
Receiving, inspecting, and logging incoming components and engineering supplies.
Storing items in designated locations and optimizing stockroom layout for efficiency.
Issuing materials to internal customers while maintaining precise documentation.
Monitoring stock levels, generating replenishment orders, and coordinating with vendors.
Managing controlled stock items and ensuring compliance with handling procedures.
Maintaining calibrated equipment records and scheduling calibrations as required.
Operating the company vehicle to transport metal finishing requests to local suppliers and to move palletized equipment across campus.
Conducting regular cycle counts and assisting with annual physical inventories.
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost saving initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in inventory management or a related field
- Knowledgeable in material accountability and/or control activities
- Valid driver's license required

- Experience in logistics and Inventory Management
- Experience with Bill of Materials analysis
- Experience with Calibration Management
- Experience with communication with Engineers on project needs

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
