The Department of Radiation Oncology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and Division of Radiation Oncology at Mount Auburn Hospital seek outstanding faculty to join our growing program at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts—just steps from Harvard University. We are recruiting for a Staff Radiation Oncologist position to support the continued expansion of Mount Auburn’s cancer program.

Mount Auburn’s radiation oncology service features state-of-the-art technology capable of IMRT, SRS, SRT, SBRT, and HDR treatments, supported by an experienced dosimetry and physics team. The hospital’s highly regarded medical and surgical oncology programs, combined with its forthcoming growth under the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/BIDMC collaboration, provide an exceptional environment for both clinical excellence and innovation in cancer care.

Faculty members at Mount Auburn will join a collegial and academically engaged team of radiation oncologists within the BIDMC network. The broader department offers comprehensive services, including CyberKnife SRT, HDR and LDR brachytherapy, total body irradiation, and radioablation of cardiac arrhythmogenic foci. Opportunities for teaching and research are available, commensurate with interest and experience.

Academic Appointment:
Faculty will receive an appointment at Harvard Medical School at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor, based on experience and qualifications.

Position Details:
This is a full-time employment model position with Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The anticipated start date is summer 2026.

Qualifications:

  • Massachusetts Medical License (required)

  • Board Certification or eligibility in Radiation Oncology

  • Individual Federal DEA registration

Pay Range:

$337,500 - $375,000

The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
