Job Description:
Required for Strategic Planning, Management and Execution for Global Financial Crimes’ (GFC) Financial Intelligence Unit – Detection (FIU-D) team. This role will focus on transformation initiatives and business management across GFC’s enterprise anti-money laundering detection, case management and customer risk assessment. Key responsibilities include working directly or through compliance officers for the Front Line Units (FLUs) and Control Functions (CFs), cross functional teams with GFC, and the second and third line of defense groups to complete compliance management requirements. This role will require independent thinking and initiative taking to address challenges facing the GFC FIU-D team, whether focused on transformation and modernization of the program, remediation and business management.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight and coordination of GFC Financial Intelligence Unit – Detection Transformation and Business Management activities portfolio, including coordination with cross-functional GFC units, and second and third line of defense groups
- Advises and directs the development and maintenance of financial crimes owned policies and standards, and reviews relevant Front Line Units/Control Functions-owned policies and standards to ensure that regulatory requirements and operational risks are appropriately addressed
- Produces and/or oversees independent financial crimes risk management reporting to Global Compliance & Operational Risk (GC&OR) Senior Leaders and FLU/CF Senior Leaders
- Monitors the changes in regulations applicable to GFC, including advising business leaders and executive management, directing the appropriate areas to implement or amend policies, standards, procedures and/or processes to address regulatory requirements, and challenging the implementation plan as needed
- Participates in industry forums and monitors regulatory expectations, emerging legislation and regulation, political scrutiny, litigation and key influencers to identify and mitigate emerging risks
- Escalates financial crimes related compliance and operational risks and issues to appropriate governance routines, management/board level committees
- Identifies, aggregates, reports, escalates, inspects, and challenges the remediation and thematic analysis of FLU/CF-owned issues and control enhancements related to financial crimes
- Reviews and challenges internal and external anti-financial crimes compliance activities, including the development of remediation plans to strengthen controls and providing oversight to ensure they are addressed appropriately

Required Skills:
- 10+ years of professional experience, with 7+ years in financial services
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degrees or equivalent experience
- GFC, AML, Regulatory experience: 5+ years, with a preference for transaction monitoring, case management and customer risk assessments
- Require subject matter expertise to develop end-to-end processes for Enterprise functions for metrics/reporting of high and elevate risk reporting across the Company.
- Expertise in AML regulations and requirements for customer due diligence and risk rating.
Desired Skills:
