The PRMS Project Coordinator will coordinate and provide operational support to the committees that are part of the Protocol Review and Monitoring System (PRMS). The PRMS is a requirement for all NCI-designated Cancer Centers. The charge of the PRMS is to review all research studies in areas of diagnosis, therapy, supportive care, prevention and cancer control that have not received traditional peer review for scientific merit. PRMS also monitors all cancer research studies in the institution for scientific progress and, as such, as the authority for closing any studies that are not meeting accrual or performance standards.

This position is vital to operations for CTO as it is responsible for coordinating projects and activities related to the PRMS including step 1, which is the disease site team review and step 2 which is the scientific review.

Duties:

  • Coordinates all activities related to PRMS functions and processes.
  • Interfaces and serves as liaison with Campus, College and Department researchers and staff to ensure proper submission and review of all applicable research projects.
  • Coordinates the successful project implementation of all PRMS processes using basic planning techniques.   
  • Establishes and maintains on-going compliance with review and documentation processes, policies and procedures.
  • Enters data and maintains on-going compliance with NCI Clinical Trial Reporting Program requirements.
  • Coordinates schedules, formulates agendas and takes minutes for all PRMS related meetings. Enter data relevant to review processes in the Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS).
  • Develops and provides training on PRMS processes as needed for committee members and researchers submitting studies for review.   
  • Provides PRMS data as needed for various purposes including for NCI and other grant requirements.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or as required to successfully fulfill functions of the position.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree, AND:

  • 24 months of project management or related experience.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months of related experience.

Department Preferences: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Accounting, or related field.
