Position Summary:

The main responsibility of a class C logistics driver is to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of all orders on his/her truck in a manner that meets the customer’s expectations while serving as a professional representative of Russo Power Equipment. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and adherence to all safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Maintain compliance with all municipal, state, and federal laws in any region of delivery. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Observing speed limits, seat belt requirements, truck and street weight restrictions, and proper load securing procedures.
• Inspect and verify all loads prior to delivery to ensure:
  • The load is properly secured for safe transport.
  • The load contains all items listed in the sales orders/invoices for that delivery.
• Maintain a professional, friendly, and respectful relationship with all customers to uphold Russo Power Equipment’s commitment to unparalleled customer service.
• Perform vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to take direction and make sound decisions in real-time.
• Clear and effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (40–50 lbs).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Credentials and Experience:

• Minimum CDL Class C License required — with box truck, trailer, lift gate, and pallet jack experience.
• Valid driver’s license
• Previous truck driving experience required
• Acceptable, clean driving record
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug test.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing 40–50 lbs.
• Requires bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, crouching, and squatting for pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Must be able to enter and exit vehicles and equipment by stepping and kneeling.
• May be required to stand, walk, and use hands/fingers for extended periods.
